Yoga is a group of physical, mental and spiritual practices of disciplines which originated at ancient India. It is a 5000 year old Indian body of knowledge. If it’s performed in the correct manner, yoga can help you to stay in good shape, and can also be helpful in treating certain medical disorders. To avoid injury, keep in mind when you start to occupy a certain position slowly must take a deep breath. Here are some of the basic yoga poses and how to do it properly.

Press shoulders down and away from ears. Push through your thumbs and index fingers as you raise your chest toward the wall in front of you. Relax and repeat.
